A YOUNG LADY CALLED STATING THAT I HAD BEEN PRE-APPROVED FOR A VISA OR MASTERCARD WITH A LIMIT OF $500.00/ NO CREDIT CHECK REQUIRED WITH A VALID AND GOOD STANDING CHECKING ACCOUNT! LADY STATED THAT A FOLLOW UP CALL WOULD COME FROM HER MANAGER/ THAT I WAS TO GIVE HIM THE CODE# SHE PROVIDED! FOLLOW UP CALL CAME THROUGH 5 MINS LATER, GENTLEMAN ASKED FOR ACCT INFO! ADVISED THAT MOST CREDIT COMPANIES LIKE TO SPEAK TO YOUR BANK DIRECTLY TO VERIFY INFO BASED ON NO CREDIT CHECK! CALLER HUNG UP!

I'm currently in south africa, and i got a call from this number and i later found out that this number belongs to a scammer, this guy (indian, via his accent) calls me everyday atleast about 5-8 times a day.

no one answers the phone or says anything I need this to stop

Had 3 over the last 2 days from that phone number???

They've been calling for months so today while checking my e-mail I redialed them over and over again for about 20 minutes listening to them ask for my card number, a card I don't have. I don't know if this does any good but it sure made me feel better and if everyone who gets their calls does the same thing it may have some impact on their business.

Calls 4 times every day, day in and day out, week after week. Never leaves a message. We are on the no call list, but if we report harrassing calls, this does no good so these calls go on unchecked.

This appears to be a phising scam. I know that I have no collection accounts and have an excellent credit score. These people would lead me to believe that unless I give them my personal information that they are going to take me to court because of bad depts. I guess this scam might work on people that have bad debts, but since all of mine are current and everything is paid on time I know that this is a lie. These kind of people should be locked up.
